Lonato del Garda (avant le 1er juillet 2007 simplement Lonato; Brescian: Lunàt) est une commune et commune de la province de Brescia, en Lombardie, dans le nord de l'Italie. Lonato est situé à mi-chemin entre Milan et Venise, sur la rive sud-ouest du lac de Garde, le plus grand lac d'Italie. Les communes voisines sont Castiglione delle Stiviere, Desenzano del Garda, Calcinato, Bedizzole, Calvagese della Riviera, Padenghe sul Garda, Pozzolengo, Montichiari, Solferino. La ville est une destination de vacances en raison de son emplacement pittoresque au bord du lac à environ 5 kilomètres (3 mi) du lac) et de ses nombreux monuments et musées historiques et artistiques, sites préhistoriques (habitations sur pilotis), ruines romaines, château médiéval, églises baroques et modernes musées.
