Dudweiler est un arrondissement de Sarrebruck, sur le ruisseau Sulzbach. En 977, Dudweiler a été mentionné pour la première fois dans les documents officiels de l'empereur allemand Otto II comme l'emplacement d'une chapelle (Duodonisvillare). Dudweiler a reçu les privilèges de la ville le 12 septembre 1962. En 1974, il a été incorporé dans la ville de Sarrebruck. Depuis lors, Dudweiler est également le nom de l'un des quatre quartiers de la ville (Stadtbezirke) de Sarrebruck.
