Beauraing est une commune wallonne située dans la province belge de Namur. Au 1er janvier 2006, Beauraing comptait 8 344 habitants. La superficie totale est de 174,55 km², ce qui donne une densité de population de 48 habitants par km². La municipalité de Beauraing a été créée en 1977 à partir de la fusion de Beauraing, Baronville, Dion, Felenne, Feschaux, Focant, Froidfontaine, Honnay, Javingue, Martouzin-Neuville, Pondrôme, Vonêche, Wancennes, Wiesme et Winenne. Beauraing est un lieu de pèlerinage pour les catholiques depuis que cinq enfants et jeunes adultes ont rapporté 33 apparitions de la Bienheureuse Vierge Marie entre le 29 novembre 1932 et le 3 janvier 1933.
