Ravenne (rə-VEN-ə, italien: [raˈvenna], également localement [raˈvɛnna]; Romagnol: Ravèna) est la capitale de la province de Ravenne, dans la région Émilie-Romagne du nord de l'Italie. C'était la capitale de l'Empire romain d'Occident de 402 jusqu'à l'effondrement de cet empire en 476. Elle a ensuite servi de capitale du Royaume Ostrogothique jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit reconquise en 540 par l'Empire byzantin.
