Certaldo est une ville et comune de Toscane, en Italie, dans la ville métropolitaine de Florence, au milieu de Valdelsa. Il se trouve à environ 35 kilomètres au sud-ouest du Florence Duomo, à 50 minutes en train et à 35 minutes en voiture au sud-ouest de Florence et à 40 minutes en train au nord de Sienne. Il abritait la famille de Giovanni Boccaccio, auteur du Decameron. Il est décédé à son domicile à l'intérieur de la ville et a été enterré ici en 1375.
