Eygelshoven est un petit village près de la ville de Kerkrade au sud-est des Pays-Bas, près des frontières allemande et belge. Elle possède deux anciennes mines de charbon, Laura et Julia, qui portent le nom des épouses des deux propriétaires. Les deux fosses ont fermé en 1974. Le club de football local porte également le nom des anciennes mines de charbon. Eygelshoven possède une petite ancienne église du XVIe siècle, qui se dresse au sommet d'une colline.
