Arles (, également américain:, français: [aʁl]; provençal: Arle [ˈaʀle] dans les normes classiques et mistraliennes; latin classique: Arelate) est une ville et une commune du sud de la France, dans le département des Bouches-du-Rhône dont c'est une sous-préfecture, dans l'ancienne province de Provence. La ville a une longue histoire et était d'une importance considérable dans la province romaine de Gallia Narbonensis. Le peintre néerlandais post-impressionniste Vincent van Gogh a vécu à Arles de 1888 à 1889 et a produit plus de 300 peintures et dessins pendant son séjour là-bas.
