Caltanissetta (prononcé [kaltanisˈsetta]; sicilien: Nissa ou Cartanisetta) est une commune de l'intérieur central de la Sicile, en Italie, et la capitale de la province de Caltanissetta. Ses habitants sont appelés Nisseni. En 2017, la ville comptait 62 797 habitants. C'est la 14e plus grande commune d'Italie mesurée par la superficie, la sixième commune la plus élevée d'Italie par l'altitude (568 m), la deuxième plus haute altitude de Sicile après la ville d'Enna (912 m).
