Tarquinia anciennement Corneto, est une vieille ville de la province de Viterbe, Latium, Italie connue principalement pour ses anciennes tombes étrusques dans les nécropoles ou cimetières répandus qu'elle recouvre, pour lesquels elle a été classée patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO statut. En 1922, elle a été rebaptisée d'après l'ancienne ville de Tarquinii (romaine) ou Tarch (u) na (étrusque).
