Sarmato est une commune de la province de Plaisance dans la région italienne d'Émilie-Romagne, située à environ 160 kilomètres (99 mi) au nord-ouest de Bologne et à environ 15 kilomètres (9 mi) à l'ouest de Plaisance. Au 31 décembre 2004, elle avait une population de 2 714 habitants et une superficie de 27,0 kilomètres carrés (10,4 milles carrés). Venise (VEN-iss; italien: Venezia [veˈnɛttsja]; vénitien: Venesia ou Venexia, prononcé [veˈnɛsja]) est une ville du nord-est de l'Italie et la capitale de la région de la Vénétie. Avec Padoue et Trévise, la ville est incluse dans la zone métropolitaine de Padoue-Trévise-Venise (PATREVE), qui est considérée comme une zone métropolitaine statistique, avec une population totale de 2,6 millions d'habitants.Le nom est dérivé de l'ancien peuple vénitien qui habitait la région au 10ème siècle avant JC.
