Arosio est une commune de la province de Côme dans la région italienne de Lombardie, située à environ 30 kilomètres (19 mi) au nord de Milan et à environ 15 kilomètres (9 mi) au sud-est de Côme. Au 31 décembre 2004, elle avait une population de 4 521 habitants et une superficie de 2,7 kilomètres carrés (1,0 mi2). Arosio est limitrophe des municipalités suivantes: Carugo, Giussano, Inverigo. Arosio est une ville précieuse de Brianza, une zone géographique au pied des Alpes, et fait partie du Parco della Valle del Lambro. Elle est traversée par deux routes importantes nommées Nuova Vallassina et Novedratese.La ville a accueilli l'Institut des invalides où Don Carlo Gnocchi a fondé la Fédération pour les enfants mutilés.En 1952, a commencé la Fondation pour mineurs, aujourd'hui connue sous le nom de Don Carlo Gnocchi - ONLUS Foundation.
