Altamura is een stad en gemeente in Apulië, in Zuid-Italië. Het is gelegen op een van de heuvels van het Murge-plateau in de metropool Bari, 45 kilometer (28 mijl) ten zuidwesten van Bari, dicht bij de grens met Basilicata.
