Beilen is een dorp in de Nederlandse provincie Drenthe. Het maakt deel uit van de gemeente Midden-Drenthe en ligt ongeveer 16 km ten zuiden van Assen. In de 19e en 20e eeuw breidde de stad zich uit en werden veel nieuwe wijken en voorsteden gepland en gebouwd.
