Aalen is een voormalige vrije keizerlijke stad in het oostelijke deel van de Duitse deelstaat Baden-Württemberg, ongeveer 70 kilometer (43 mijl) ten oosten van Stuttgart en 48 kilometer (30 mijl) ten noorden van Ulm.
