Esbjerg (VK:, VS:, Deens: [ˈɛsˌpjɛɐ̯ˀ], West-Jutisch dialect: [ˈɛspʲæa̯]) is een havenstad en zetel van de gemeente Esbjerg aan de westkust van het schiereiland Jutland in het zuidwesten van Denemarken. Over de weg is het 71 kilometer (44 mijl) ten westen van Kolding en 164 kilometer (102 mijl) ten zuidwesten van Aarhus. Met een stedelijke bevolking van 72.168 (1 januari 2019) is het de op vier na grootste stad van Denemarken en de grootste in West-Jutland. Voordat in 1868 werd besloten om een haven (nu de op één na grootste van Denemarken) in Esbjerg te vestigen, bestond het gebied uit slechts enkele boerderijen. Esbjerg ontwikkelde zich snel en de bevolking steeg tot 13.000 in 1901 en 70.000 in 1970.
