Modica [ˈmɔːdika] (Siciliaans: Muòrica, Grieks: Μότουκα, Motouka, Latijn: Mutyca of Motyca) is een stad en gemeente met 54.456 inwoners in de provincie Ragusa, Sicilië, Zuid-Italië. De stad ligt in het Hyblaean-gebergte. Modica heeft een neolithische oorsprong en vertegenwoordigt de historische hoofdstad van het gebied dat tegenwoordig bijna overeenkomt met de provincie Ragusa. Tot de 19e eeuw was het de hoofdstad van een provincie die zo'n brede politieke, economische en culturele invloed uitoefende om tot de machtigste vetes van de Mezzogiorno te worden gerekend. Herbouwd na de verwoestende aardbeving van 1693, is de architectuur erkend als een uitstekend getuigenis van het uitbundige genie en de uiteindelijke bloei van de barokke kunst in Europa en maakt het, samen met andere steden in de Val di Noto, deel uit van het UNESCO-erfgoed in Italië.
