Couvin is een Waalse gemeente in de Belgische provincie Namen. Op 1 januari 2006 telde de gemeente 13.476 inwoners. Couvin is na Doornik de op één na grootste gemeente van België naar oppervlakte. De totale oppervlakte bedraagt 206,93 km², wat een bevolkingsdichtheid van 65 inwoners per km² oplevert. De gemeente bestaat uit de volgende subgemeenten: Couvin proper, Aublain, Boussu-en-Fagne, Brûly, Brûly-de-Pesche, Cul-des-Sarts, Dailly, Frasnes-lez-Couvin, Gonrieux, Mariembourg, Pesche, Petigny Petite-Chapelle en Presgaux.

Brugge (BROOZH, Frans: [bʁyʒ]; Vlaams: Brugge [ˈbrʏɣə]; Duits: Brügge [ˈbʁʏɡə]) is de hoofdstad en grootste stad van de provincie West-Vlaanderen in het Vlaamse Gewest van België, in het noordwesten van het land, en de zevende grootste stad van het land door de bevolking. De oppervlakte van de hele stad bedraagt meer dan 13.840 hectare (138,4 km2; 53,44 vierkante mijl), inclusief 1.075 hectare voor de kust, in Zeebrugge (van Brugge aan zee, wat "Brugge aan Zee" betekent). Het historische stadscentrum staat op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO. Het is ovaal van vorm en ongeveer 430 hectare groot. De totale bevolking van de stad is 117.073 (1 januari 2008), van wie er ongeveer 20.000 in het stadscentrum wonen.
