Lessines is een Picard-gemeente in de Belgische provincie Henegouwen. Vanaf de telling van 2014 bedroeg de totale bevolking van Lessine 18.637. De totale oppervlakte is 72,29 km² (27,91 vierkante mijl), wat een bevolkingsdichtheid van 247 inwoners per km² oplevert. De gemeente bestaat uit de volgende deelgemeenten: Lessines proper, Ghoy, Bois-de-Lessines (Lessenbos), Ogy (Oseke), Papignies (Papegem), Deux-Acren (Acren), Wannebecq (Wannebeek) en Ollignies (Woelingen ). Het is vooral bekend als de geboorteplaats van de surrealistische schilder René Magritte (1898 - 1967).
