Samen met Padua en Treviso is de stad opgenomen in het Padua-Treviso-Venetië Metropolitan Area (PATREVE), dat wordt beschouwd als een statistisch grootstedelijk gebied, met een totale bevolking van 2,6 miljoen.De naam is afgeleid van de oude Veneti-bevolking die bewoonde de regio in de 10e eeuw voor Christus.

Cassino is een gemeente in de provincie Frosinone, Midden-Italië, aan de zuidkant van de regio Lazio, de laatste stad van de Latijnse vallei. Cassino ligt aan de voet van Monte Caïro vlakbij de samenvloeiing van de rivieren Gari en Liri.
