Gorizia (Italiaanse uitspraak: [ɡoˈrittsja]; Sloveens: Gorica [ɡɔˈɾìːtsa], informeel stara Gorica 'oude Gorizia' om het te onderscheiden van Nova Gorica; Duits: Görz; Standard Friulian: Gurize, Southeastern Friulian: Guriza; Bisiacco: Gorisia), Engels (verouderd) ook "Goritz", is een stad en gemeente in het noordoosten van Italië, in de autonome regio Friuli Venezia Giulia. Het ligt aan de voet van de Julische Alpen, grenzend aan Slovenië. Het is de hoofdstad van de provincie Gorizia en een lokaal centrum van toerisme, industrie en handel. Sinds 1947 heeft zich aan de andere kant van de moderne Italiaans-Sloveense grens een tweelingstad Nova Gorica ontwikkeld. De hele regio was na de Tweede Wereldoorlog onderhevig aan territoriale geschillen tussen Italië en Joegoslavië: nadat de nieuwe grenzen in 1947 waren vastgesteld en de oude stad aan Italië was overgelaten, werd Nova Gorica aan de Joegoslavische kant gebouwd.
