Diepenbeek beːk]; Limburgs: Diepenbik) is een gemeente in de Belgische provincie Limburg nabij Hasselt. Op 1 januari 2012 had Diepenbeek een totale bevolking van 18.337. De totale oppervlakte is 41,19 km² (15,9 vierkante mijl), wat een bevolkingsdichtheid van 430 inwoners per km² (1.203 / vierkante mijl) oplevert. De gemeente omvat de gemeenten en gehuchten Bijenberg, het Crijt, Dorpheide, Keizel, Lutselus, Pampert, Piannesberg, Reitje, Rooierheide, Rozendaal en Zwartveld. Het is de thuisbasis van de Universiteit Hasselt en breidt zich langzaam uit richting Hasselt zelf.
