Brussel (Frans: Bruxelles [bʁysɛl] of [bʁyksɛl]; Nederlands: Brussel [ˈbrʏsəl]), officieel het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest (Frans: Région de Bruxelles-Capitale; Nederlands: Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest), is een regio van België bestaande uit 19 gemeenten, waaronder de Stad Brussel, de hoofdstad van België. Het beslaat 162 km2 (63 vierkante mijl), een relatief klein gebied in vergelijking met de twee andere regio's, en heeft een bevolking van meer dan 1,2 miljoen. De vijf keer zo grote metropool Brussel telt meer dan 2,5 miljoen inwoners en is daarmee de grootste van België.

Duffel is een gemeente in de Belgische provincie Antwerpen. De gemeente omvat alleen de stad Duffel zelf. Op 1 januari 2006 had Duffel een totale bevolking van 16.019. De totale oppervlakte bedraagt 22,71 km² wat een bevolkingsdichtheid van 705 inwoners per km² oplevert. De stad is de thuisbasis van "duffel fabric", een grof wollen doek dat wordt gebruikt om zware bovenkleding en tassen te maken.
