Eemshaven ]; Engels: Ems Harbour) is een zeehaven in de provincie Groningen in het noorden van Nederland. In 1968 verklaarde de Nederlandse regering het Eems-estuarium (Eemsmond) tot een economisch sleutelgebied. Een van de belangrijkste ontwikkelingen voor de regio was de aanleg van een zeehaven genaamd Eemshaven. De haven werd in 1973 officieel geopend door Hare Majesteit Koningin Juliana. Eeklo is een Belgische gemeente in de Vlaamse provincie Oost-Vlaanderen. De gemeente omvat alleen de stad Eeklo. De naam Eeklo komt van de samentrekking van "eke" en "lo", twee Oud-Duitse woorden die eik en dun bos betekenen (vergelijk Engels Oakley).
