Legnano (Italiaanse uitspraak: [leɲˈɲaːno]; Legnanese: Legnàn [leˈɲãː] of Lignàn) is een Italiaanse stad en gemeente in het noordwestelijke deel van de metropool Milaan, ongeveer 20 kilometer (12 mijl) van het centrum van Milaan. Met 60.259 is het de dertiende meest bevolkte gemeente in Lombardije. Legnano ligt in de Alto Milanese en wordt doorkruist door de rivier de Olona. De geschiedenis van Legnano en zijn gemeentelijk gebied is terug te voeren tot het 1e millennium voor Christus via archeologisch bewijs. Al in afgelegen tijden bleken de heuvels langs de Olona zelfs bewoonbare plaatsen te zijn.
