Scilla is een geslacht van ongeveer 50 tot 80 bolvormende overblijvende kruiden in de familie Asparagaceae, onderfamilie Scilloideae, afkomstig uit bossen, subalpiene weiden en kusten in heel Europa, Afrika en het Midden-Oosten. Enkele soorten zijn ook genaturaliseerd in Australië, Nieuw-Zeeland en Noord-Amerika.
