Wichelen ]) is een gemeente in de Denderstreek in de Belgische provincie Oost-Vlaanderen. De gemeente bestaat uit de steden Schellebelle, Serskamp en Wichelen zelf. Op 1 januari 2006 had Wichelen een totale bevolking van 11.145. De totale oppervlakte bedraagt 22,87 km² wat een bevolkingsdichtheid van 487 inwoners per km² oplevert.
