Hasselt is een Vlaamse stad en gemeente, en hoofdstad en grootste stad van de provincie Limburg in het Vlaamse Gewest van België. De gemeente Hasselt omvat de oorspronkelijke stad Hasselt, plus de oude gemeenten Sint-Lambrechts-Herk, Wimmertingen, Kermt, Spalbeek, Kuringen, Stokrooie, Stevoort en Runkst, evenals de gehuchten en parochies van Kiewit, Godsheide en Rapertingen.
