Moeskroen (Frans: [mukʁɔ̃]; Nederlands: Moeskroen, uitgesproken als [muˈskrun], Picard: Moucron) is een Waalse stad en gemeente in de Belgische provincie Henegouwen, langs de grens met de Franse stad Tourcoing, die deel uitmaakt van de Grootstedelijk gebied van Lille. Tot de gemeente Moeskroen behoren ook de oude gemeenten Dottenijs (Dottenijs), Luingne (Lowingen) en Herseaux (Herzeeuw). Overeenkomstig de nationale wetgeving biedt de gemeente tweetalige diensten aan in het Frans en het Nederlands. Kortrijk, in Vlaanderen, ligt net ten noorden van Moeskroen. De stad groeide aanzienlijk tijdens de 19e en vroege 20e eeuw met de ontwikkeling van de textielindustrie in Noord-Frankrijk.

Hasselt is een Vlaamse stad en gemeente, en hoofdstad en grootste stad van de provincie Limburg in het Vlaamse Gewest van België. De gemeente Hasselt omvat de oorspronkelijke stad Hasselt, plus de oude gemeenten Sint-Lambrechts-Herk, Wimmertingen, Kermt, Spalbeek, Kuringen, Stokrooie, Stevoort en Runkst, evenals de gehuchten en parochies van Kiewit, Godsheide en Rapertingen.
