Heide is een stad in Sleeswijk-Holstein, Duitsland. Het is de hoofdstad van de Kreis (district) Dithmarschen. Bevolking: 21.000. Het Duitse woord Heide betekent "heide". In de 15e eeuw besloten vier aangrenzende dorpen een kerk te bouwen midden in de hei. Dit bleef tot op heden de naam van de stad.
