Gmunden is een stad in Opper-Oostenrijk, Oostenrijk in het district Gmunden. Het heeft 13.204 inwoners (schattingen 2016). Linz is de op twee na grootste stad van Oostenrijk en hoofdstad en grootste stad van de deelstaat Opper-Oostenrijk (Duits: Oberösterreich).
