Cotignola is een gemeente in de provincie Ravenna in de Italiaanse regio Emilia-Romagna, gelegen op ongeveer 50 kilometer (31 mijl) ten zuidoosten van Bologna en ongeveer 20 kilometer (12 mijl) ten westen van Ravenna. Cotignola was de geboorteplaats van de 15e-eeuwse condottiero Muzio Attendolo, wiens familie Sforza) later Milaan, Pesaro en andere heerlijkheden in Italië regeerde.
