Dorum is een dorp en een voormalige gemeente in het district Cuxhaven, in Nedersaksen, Duitsland. Sinds 1 januari 2015 maakt het deel uit van de gemeente Wurster Nordseeküste. Het Land van Wursten, een enigszins autonome boerenrepubliek inclusief Dorum, werd al lang opgeëist door het Prins-aartsbisdom Bremen en in 1524 werd het officieel onderworpen. In 1648 werd het prins-aartsbisdom omgevormd tot het hertogdom Bremen, dat voor het eerst in persoonlijke unie werd geregeerd door de Zweden en vanaf 1715 door de Hannoveraanse kroon. In 1823 werd het hertogdom afgeschaft en werd zijn grondgebied onderdeel van het Stade-gebied.
