Guglielmo Giovanni Maria Marconi, 1st Markies van Marconi FRSA (Italiaans: [ɡuʎˈʎɛlmo marˈkoːni]; 25 april 1874-20 juli 1937) was een Italiaanse uitvinder en elektrotechnisch ingenieur, bekend om zijn pionierswerk op het gebied van langeafstandsradiotransmissie, ontwikkeling van de wet van Marconi en een radio-telegraafsysteem. Hij wordt gecrediteerd als de uitvinder van de radio en hij deelde de Nobelprijs voor natuurkunde uit 1909 met Karl Ferdinand Braun "als erkenning voor hun bijdragen aan de ontwikkeling van draadloze telegrafie". Marconi was ook een ondernemer, zakenman en oprichter van The Wireless Telegraph & Signal Company in het Verenigd Koninkrijk in 1897 (dat de Marconi Company werd).
