Ieper (EE-prə; Nederlands: Ieper [ˈipər]; Frans: Ieper [ipʁ]) is een Belgische gemeente in de provincie West-Vlaanderen. Hoewel het Nederlandse Ieper de officiële naam is, wordt de Franse naam Ieper van de stad het meest gebruikt in het Engels. De gemeente bestaat uit de stad Ieper en de dorpen Boezinge, Brielen, Dikkebus, Elverdinge, Hollebeke, Sint-Jan, Vlamertinge, Voormezele, Zillebeke en Zuidschote. Samen hebben ze ongeveer 34.900 inwoners. Tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog was Ieper (of "wissers" zoals het algemeen bekend was onder de Britse troepen) het centrum van de veldslagen van Ieper tussen Duitse en geallieerde troepen.

Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve is een Waalse gemeente in de Belgische provincie Waals-Brabant. Op 1 januari 2006 had Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve een totale bevolking van 29.521. De totale oppervlakte bedraagt 32,96 km² wat een bevolkingsdichtheid van 896 inwoners per km² oplevert. De gemeente bestaat uit de volgende subgemeenten: Ottignies, Louvain-la-Neuve, Céroux-Mousty en Limelette. Louvain-la-Neuve (soms afgekort als "LLN") is een nieuwe stad die vanaf 1968 is ontwikkeld om de Universiteit van Leuven (UCLouvain), het Franstalige deel van de voormalige Katholieke Universiteit van Leuven, een scheiding te bieden.
