Ravenna (rə-VEN-ə, Italiaans: [raˈvenna], ook lokaal [raˈvɛnna]; Romagnol: Ravèna) is de hoofdstad van de provincie Ravenna, in de regio Emilia-Romagna in Noord-Italië. Het was de hoofdstad van het West-Romeinse rijk van 402 tot dat rijk in 476 instortte. Het diende toen als de hoofdstad van het Ostrogotische koninkrijk totdat het in 540 door het Byzantijnse rijk werd heroverd.
