Jacopo Sannazaro (Italiaanse uitspraak: [ˈjaːkopo sannadˈdzaːro], 28 juli 1458 - 6 augustus 1530) was een Italiaanse dichter, humanist en epigrammist uit Napels. Hij schreef gemakkelijk in het Latijn, in het Italiaans en in het Napolitaans, maar wordt het best herinnerd voor zijn humanistische klassieker Arcadia, een meesterwerk dat de mogelijkheden van poëtisch proza in het Italiaans illustreerde, en het thema Arcadia, dat een idyllisch land vertegenwoordigt, in de Europese literatuur instelde. Sannazaro's elegante stijl was de inspiratie voor veel hoofse literatuur uit de 16e eeuw, waaronder Sir Philip Sidney's Arcadia.
