Seriate is een comune in de provincie Bergamo in de Italiaanse regio Lombardije, gelegen op ongeveer 50 kilometer (31 mijl) ten noordoosten van Milaan en ongeveer 4 kilometer (2 mijl) ten zuidoosten van Bergamo. Per 31 december 2010 had het een bevolking van 24.297 en een oppervlakte van 12,4 vierkante kilometer (4,8 vierkante mijl). De gemeente Seriate bevat de frazioni (onderverdelingen, voornamelijk dorpen en gehuchten) Comonte, Cassinone en Paderno. Seriate grenst aan de volgende gemeenten: Albano Sant'Alessandro, Bagnatica, Bergamo, Brusaporto, Calcinate, Cavernago, Gorle, Grassobbio, Orio al Serio, Pedrengo. Seriate ontving op 2 oktober 1989 de eretitel van stad met een presidentieel decreet.
