Pontremoli (Italiaans: [ponˈtrɛːmoli]; lokaal Emiliaans: Pontrémal; Latijn: Apua) is een kleine stad, comune, voormalig Latijns-katholiek bisdom in de provincie Massa en Carrara, Toscane, Midden-Italië. Letterlijk vertaald betekent Pontremoli "Trillende Brug" (van ponte "brug" en tremare "om te beven"), aangezien de gemeente is vernoemd naar een prominente brug over de Magra. Pontremoli ligt in de bovenste vallei van de Magra, 40 kilometer (25 mijl) ten noordoosten van La Spezia per trein en 90 kilometer (56 mijl) ten zuidwesten van Parma.
