Avignon (VK:, VS:, Frans: [aviɲɔ̃]; Provençaals: Avinhon (Klassieke norm) of Avignoun (Mistralian-norm) [aviˈɲun]; Latijn: Avenio) is een gemeente in het zuidoosten van Frankrijk in het departement Vaucluse aan de linkeroever van de Rhône.
