Vasto (Abruzzese: lù Uàštë; Oudgrieks: Ἱστόνιον, geromaniseerd: Histonion, Latijn: Histonium) is een kleine stad aan zee aan de overkant van Rome en comune aan de Adriatische kust van de provincie Chieti in het zuiden van Abruzzo, Italië. Het werd in de middeleeuwen ook wel Guastaymonis of Vasto d'Aimone genoemd en ook Waste d'Aimone. Omgedoopt tot Istonio onder de fascistische regel, kreeg het in 1944 de huidige naam Vasto.
