It’s hard to say what constitutes as best and worst weather, so when we started writing Europe Countries with the Best Weather we didn’t know how to approach this. After all, that’s all individual, isn’t it? So we decided to put our thesis on that 365 days of sun, light breeze and no rain showers make for the ideal climate, and start there.

 

We have put together a list of European countries based on their weather conditions, and it’s up to you to decide where you want to go next:

Our 1st country for Europe Countries with the Best Weather is: Spain

A Mediterranean climate, a robust transport infrastructure, excellent opportunities to travel, as well as various socializing and leisure activities, make Spain pretty much a dream country. Portugal is classified as Csb climate (this term refers to Mediterranean climate); a warm temperate moist forest climate, with dry summers, and wet winters. If you are traveling by train, opt for Portugal during the summer months. The hottest month in Portugal is July with an average temperature of 24°C, and the coldest one is January at 12°C. You’ll catch the most daily sunshine hours in August. Plus, you can always tour Western Europe by train for the best impression, regardless of the climate conditions of the countries you want to see.

 

Greece

Another Mediterranean country that will leave you in love with this part of Europe. Greece is typical of the Mediterranean climate. Tourists and locals love it for its warm and dry summers, mild and rainy winters, and extended periods of sunshine throughout most of the year. Britain – The worst on the list of European Countries with the Best Weather

Although absolutely gorgeous architecturally, historically, and culturally, Britain is not one of the Europe Countries with the Best Weather. Well, unless you enjoy constant fog, rain, clouds and so much grey that you forget what other colors look like. The damp air and its overall unpredictability don’t help either. While Britain does have sunny surprises here and there, we advise you not to (ever!) go out without an umbrella and a spare T-shirt. Iceland

However, unfortunately, this Scandinavian country is notorious for its unpredictable and nasty weather. Iceland has approximately 320 days of thick grey clouds, 215 days of rain, snowstorms, and blizzards. It is not for those who are looking to enjoy a sunny vacay.
